Headaches

Do you ever notice that you have neck pain as well as headaches? Could they be related? Well, most of the time they are related. There are a number of headaches out there and each person is effected differently.

Headaches can come and go or be constant. They may be sharp, achy, dull, throbbing, travel around our head or feel it behind out eye? They can even result in sensitivity to light and sound as well as experience nausea.

Headaches can be debilitating and effect our lives in many ways. Loved ones may not understand, we get easily frustrated, it interferes with our social lives and the list goes on and on.

Women are most commonly affected with migraines and tension-type headaches. Stress, hormonal changes, lack of physical activity, lack of sleep, poor posture and food or alcohol triggers can all affect headaches. Headaches can also occur after trauma such as motor vehicle accidents or concussions. Headaches can also be found in sports such as weightlifters.

Majority of headaches are benign or not life threating however, there is still a small percentage that may have an underlying condition and are very serious. It is imporatnt to get examined by a licensed professional to determine the cause of your headaches.

If you are experiences the worst headache ever, having difficulty seeing, speaking, walking or swallowing, you should seek medical care right away!
